If you could talk to God in a real and meaningful way, would you? If you could clearly hear His voice and receive guidance for your life, would you listen? Today’s text teaches us that God has indeed spoken. He has spoken in many times in many ways recorded in scripture. He has spoken through prophets, visions, dreams, still small voices, burning bushes and even through a donkey. But the greatest revelation of Himself is found in Jesus Christ. Jesus is God’s ultimate and final word to mankind.

Today’s text contains seven attributes of Jesus Christ in the first three verses of Hebrews. Can you find them?

Hebrews 1:1–3 (NKJV) 1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…

The Apostle John records for us in His Gospel …

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” (John 1:18, NKJV)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16–17, NKJV)

Matthew writes…

All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” (Matthew 11:27–30, NKJV)

I pray that as we travel through this incredible book many come to know the Son and the Father.

God wants to speak to you. Will you listen?
