Jesus said, … whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. “And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.” (Luke 12:8–10)

Today’s text has been the cause of great fear and worries to many. So,, we will take extra time to explain this text for the benefit and calming of hearts for all believers.

A few key principles to consider…

The unforgivable sin cannot be committed accidentally.

But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him,”… Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”” (John 12:37, 39–40)

If you can confess your sin, God can forgive your sin.

But if you refuse to admit you are a sinner you are in trouble.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 1:8–2:1)

Everyone who calls on the Lord for salvation will be saved!

… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”” (Romans 10:9–13)

But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure,

without fear of evil.”” (Proverbs 1:33)

All who run to Jesus will be saved!
