In today’s text (Acts 22), the Apostle Paul shares his testimony to his fellow Jews. Paul so desperately wanted to see his people, the Jews receive their Messiah, Jesus Christ. The problem was that they had such religious pride that they believed they were already right with God when they were not. The hardest people to reach is religious people. Because religious people are usually convinced that they already know what they have to do and are doing it. The truth is, nobody can be made right with God through “doing” or keeping religious rules (Romans 3:20; Galatians 2:16). The only way anyone can be made right with God is that they first realize that they are wrong (Rom 3:23).  Only those who realize they are sinners can appropriately come to the savior. Do you know that you are in need of God’s forgiveness? Have you come to God humbly and confessed your sins and asked for forgiveness? Have you put your faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior? That’s the only way to be saved. Salvation is God’s “doing”!

Romans 3:10 – “There is no-one righteous, not even one;

Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 5:12 – Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned–

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9-13 – “… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.””

Romans 5:1 – Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Know your spiritual condition. And if you know that you are saved, share the good news of the Gospel with someone!
